Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
Northeast Ministry is located at the heart of the low-income housing community of Marvine-Pembroke in Northeast Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
are you a part of Bethlehem housing authority?
Although we work closely with BHA, we are not a part of them. We are an independent social service agency that supports the members of the community living under BHA.
Who can access our services?
Individuals and families who live in the Marvine-Pembroke low-income housing neighborhood and surrounding Bethlehem communities may access our services.
where does the food for the food pantry come from?
The majority of our food comes from Second Harvest Food Bank, but we also receive generous donations from Giant, Panera Bread, Monocacy Farm Project, and several area churches
Is NEM a religious organization?
Although our name suggests we have religious affiliation, NEM has been a completely independent non-profit social service agency since 1985. Several churches generously donate money and goods to the agency as part of their missions, but NEM does not provide religious services to the community.
