About Us

Who We Are

Serving as the hub of the community, the Northeast Ministry is a non-profit social service agency located in the heart of the low-income housing neighborhood of Marvine-Pembroke. Our goal is to offer programs and services to those in need in the community and to help them reach their highest potential.

While many of our programs focus on the youth of the community, our food pantry is offered to individuals of all ages and our Connecting Seniors Program focuses on bringing the senior citizens of the community together. Since as far back as 1980, we have created a presence in the community that offers help and hope to those living in Northeast Bethlehem.

As a Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, the success of Northeast Ministry is completely dependent on contributions from individuals, business, churches, grants, and our fundraising events.

Meet Our Campers

Mikayla

“I like being here because it has me do stuff in the summer other than just stay at home when I have nobody to play with. I’ve made a lot of friends and I love coming here. You know me really well. My favorite part about summer camp is the GaGa Pit”

Jazmarely

“What I like about camp is they go on fun trips and to the pool. It’s the best summer camp and ministry I’ve ever been to and it’s fun. It’s better here because I have friends and people are friendly and nice. I like Homework Club because it’s fun and you get to learn more stuff. You read books sometimes. People are nice to me even when they don’t know me”

Jovanee

“I like coming to Summer Camp because there’s a lot of activities to do. I made a new friend when I came here. The staff and volunteers and counselors are nice. My favorite memory was the Bronx Zoo and our trip to the Statue of Liberty”

Serenity

“My favorite memory with the Northeast Ministry is when I was turning 9, my mom surprised me with a birthday cake at the Summer Camp. When I think of the Northeast Ministry, the words I think of are strong, creative, and happy”

Kevin

“My favorite part is going to the pool because I get to swim. I’ve been coming here for 4 years. When I think of the Northeast Ministry I think fun, exciting, and there’s a lot of activities to do”

Esther

“When I think of Northeast Ministry what comes to mind is fun, friends, and family. It makes me feel good here because I am not bored at home. My favorite memory was the first year I was here because I got to meet other people and I got to see friends from school that I usually don’t see”
